Create your perfect prayer abaya with Ookti, crafted with your comfort, modesty, and style in mind. That’s why we offer the option to send in your own fabric and choose custom features such as an attached hijab, lace accents, front zip closure, or your preferred cuff style.
Since these garments are intended for salah, I believe they should remain accessible so I’ve kept tailoring price low, ensuring every sister can have something beautiful and affordable for her worship. As the Prophet ﷺ said, “Modesty is a branch of faith” (Sahih Muslim).
How It Works:

STEP 1: Select Your Custom Features
Attach a hijab: Choose to have the hijab attached for added ease and convenience. Please specify your preferred wrapping style: left-handed or right-handed.
Left-handed wrapping: Shorter side sits on your right.
Right-handed wrapping: Shorter side sits on your left. Include your preference in the “Order Notes” at checkout or email us directly. We’ll confirm before beginning your order.
Cuff Type
Plain Cuff – A clean, structured finish with no gathers or embellishments for a minimalist, elegant silhouette.
Shirred Cuff – Delicately gathered with stitching or elastic for soft texture and charm.
Elastic Flare Cuff – Cinched at the wrist, then flaring out for a flowing, feminine look.
Wide Cuff – A loose, open style that offers modesty and graceful movement.
Additional Details: If lace is selected, it will be applied to both the cuffs and sleeves for a cohesive and elegant finish. You may also choose to include a front zip closure for added style and convenience.
Width Size Options We offer three size ranges:
S/M (UK 8–12)
L/XL (UK 14–18)
2XL/3XL (UK 20–24)
Please note: measurements are based on bust size. For example, if your bust is around 70 inches, we recommend L/XL or 2XL/3XL for comfort. Refer to the size chart for exact width measurements. Leave your choice in the “Order Notes” at checkout or email us, confirmation will follow.
Height Length: Specify your desired length in the “Order Notes” or via email. Use the provided chart as a guide. We’ll confirm before production.
Sleeve Length: Standard sleeve length (neck to wrist) is 75 cm. If you need adjustments, share your preferred measurement in the “Order Notes” or by email then we’ll confirm before making it.
STEP 2: Send in Your Fabric
For each prayer abaya ordered, send in your fabric of choice. Ordering more than one? Add each item to your basket and send fabric separately for each.
Fabric Guidelines We recommend 4 metres (approx. 4.4 yards) per abaya to allow for full tailoring and optional features.
Tip: Use Royal Mail Tracked or similar for safe delivery.
After placing your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email with step-by-step instructions on where to send your fabric.
